YET ANOTHER FESTIVAL SCREENING

Razor Eaters screened in yet another U.S. state last month - at the Washington Independent Film Festival - and again 'wowed' audiences with its controversial subject matter and raw ferocity. The screening was organised by international sales agent Shoreline Entertainment Inc (www.shorelineentertainment.com).

TOP FESTIVAL HONOURS!

Razor Eaters took home top honours at the Shriekfest Los Angeles Film Festival (www.shriekfest.com). The film was awarded Best Thriller Feature, and lead-actor Richard Cawthorne was awarded Best Actor (across all categories) for his powerhouse portrayal of gang-leader Zach.

Director Shannon Young and Producers Paul Moder and Nick Levy were in attendance at the screening and awards ceremony at Raleigh Studios. They were presented by festival directors Denise Gossett and Todd Beeson.

These awards are a wonderful addition to the many already collected by Razor Eaters at festivals around the world.

The team also spent time at the Kansas International Film Festival in Kansas City, Missouri, where Razor Eaters opened the fesival, but screened out of competition. The film was extremely well-received by the large audience in attendance.

U.S. FESTIVAL MADNESS

Razor Eaters will open the Kansas International Film Festival at 9:45pm on 9th Sept 2005 (www.kansasfilm.com) and screen at Shriekfest Los Angeles at 12pm on 18th Sept 2005 (www.shriekfest.com). Director Shannon Young, Actor Paul Moder and Producer Nick Levy will be in attendance at both events. If you live nearby, come and find out what all the controversy is about! THE ROTTWEILER AWARD

Razor Eaters was the recipient of the Rottweiler Award at the inaugural Short Poppy Awards (www.shortpoppy.com) held in Melbourne on Friday 29th July.

The Rottweiler was granted to our team for their tenacity in overcoming adversity to complete a successful and award-winning feature film. It was noted that our hardships included a police investigation into the content of the film, and our director being shot with a blank.

Shannon Young, Paul Moder and Nick Levy were in attendance at the industry event, which included presentations by the head of the Screen Producer's Association of Australia (SPAA), Geoff Brown, and new Film Finance Corporation (FFC) member Tait Brady.

It was yet another successful evening for Razor Eaters.

FOREIGN SALES AGENT: SHORELINE

In late July, a contract was signed with Shoreline Entertainment Inc (www.shorelineentertainment.com) to represent Razor Eaters as our foreign sales agent.

Shoreline will handle all territories outside of North America and will seek to find appropriate distributors for the film.

We are extremely pleased to have found the right sales agent for Razor Eaters, as Shoreline is a well-respected company with a great track-record, and we look forward to success at the markets in late 2005 and early 2006.

ANOTHER FESTIVAL TRIUMPH

Razor Eaters won Best Film and Best Script at the inaugaural Sanctuary Cove Film Festival, held in early March 2005.

Out of over 10 feature films from across Australia, Razor Eaters was the headline screening event and was attended by Writer/Director Shannon Young, Producer Paul Moder and Executive Producer Ranald Maclurkin.

5 STAR HEIDI MARTINUZZI REVIEW

Los Angeles Film Journalist Heidi Martinuzzi has reviewed Razor Eaters. She awarded the film 5 stars and described it as 'the best independent film I have ever seen'.

She further commented that '...the near flawless script is full of twists and turns...Razor Eaters is aggressively violent and in-your-face...an Australian film that seems to rival its predecessors (Romper Stomper and Chopper) in terms of infamy...'

For a full text of the review, visit Unspeakable Magazine.

Ms Martinuzzi also interviewed Director Shannon Young, and this can be viewed at Film Threat Magazine.

CANADIAN FESTIVAL MADNESS

Razor Eaters had its Canadian Festival Premiere on 31st January 2004 at the Victorian Film Festival. The film received a fantastic reception with great crowds attending and large interest in the controversial aspects of the film from the press. Director Shannon Young attended the event and participated in Q&A and film forum sessions.

LOCAL AUSTRALIAN PREMIERE

Razor Eaters had its Black Carpet Premiere at the Melbourne Underground Film Festival on 13th July 2003. Due to popular demand after a rapid sellout, a second screening was held on the same evening. The venue was the famous George Cinemas (part of the Palace Cinema chain) in St Kilda, Melbourne.
